Investigations
The Criminal Investigations Division is composed of six major units including:
  • Major felonies
  • Gang prosecution
  • HIDTA / Asset Forfeiture
  • White collar crime / Public Corruption
  • Crimes Against Children
  • Domestic violence / Sexual assault
  • Homicide

Division employees investigate felony case brought to the office by law enforcement agencies, citizens of the county or private corporations.

Chief Investigator John Richey along with Assistant Chief Investigator Mike Baker, Deputy Chiefs Alan Traylor (Juvenile) and Tracey Enderson (Trial Division), 34 investigators and 10 paralegals who assist in investigating white collar crimes, extraditions and juvenile crimes along with other major cases.

V.I.P.E.R.
The Investigative Division also has a special unit called V.I.P.E.R. It is an acronym for Victim/Witness Incident Protection Emergency Response. This unit was created to provide protection to victims, witnesses, prosecutors, dignitaries and to execute search warrants.
