Murder conviction in July 2015 Exxon robbery

DECATUR, GA – A man accused of killing a DeKalb County store clerk in July 2015 was found guilty of all charges on Friday.
A DeKalb County Jury found Rickey Dashun Westbrook guilty of murder, felony murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
On the morning of July 13, 2015, Westbrook entered the Exxon gas station at 4101 Memorial Drive and fatally shot 54-year-old Harry Wells as he manned the cash register.
Westbrook then fled. The 25-year-old Westbrook was later arrested and jailed.
Trial began last week and a jury deliberated for less than two hours before returning a verdict.
Westbrook faces life in prison without parole.
A sentencing date has yet to be determined.
